How often is heptafluoropropane filled?
Heptafluoropropane is one of the commonly used gas fire extinguishing systems, commonly used in precision instrument equipment or important protective areas such as computer rooms, distribution rooms, archives, energy storage containers, and other areas. But some customers may be concerned about the maintenance of heptafluoropropane and how often it should be filled. This article explains this issue through relevant regulations.
The "Regulations on Safety Technology Supervision of Gas Cylinders" TSG23-2021 (hereinafter referred to as the regulations) stipulates that the inspection cycle for various types of gas cylinders in fire extinguishing systems (heptafluoropropane, high-pressure carbon dioxide, IG541) is once every 3 years, and for nitrogen cylinders is once every 5 years.
